Abstract
In this study, we sought to understand how Sexual and Gender Minorities of Color engage with their sexual/gender identity and religiosity/spirituality and how different patterns of engagement related to social and mental health. We identified four patterns of engagement, suggesting higher religious engagement is tied to lower mental distress but higher internalized stigma. In summary, we find religious engagement is tied to both health benefits and risks.
